Thorn would find himself amazed by the appearance of female clone troopers, as they came in gunships and shuttles to get the remaining Jedi and Jedi loyal clones off of Coruscant.

Thorn was easily seen fighting at the forefront of the defense of the Jedi, firing his Z-6 at the clones who were attempting to follow Order 66, yelling out his new battlecry: вЂњFor the Jedi!вЂќ, rallying many of the Jedi loyal clones to hold their ground. They then proceeded to take the Jedi loyalist Coruscant Guard troopers to rendezvous with the other Jedi loyal clones at the Jedi Temple, aiding in its defense while the Jedi evacuated. Knowing that the Jedi were anything but what Order 66 was condemning them as, he quickly gathered whatever Jedi loyal clones he could find, regrouped with Stone and Thire. This left both Thorn and Fox concerned, as the majority of the Coruscant Guard were predominantly loyal to the Chancellor, while only thirty percent were secretly loyal to the Jedi.ДЇortunately, Thorn was able to restore several Jedi loyal clones in the DEC, as he would eventually find himself being ordered by Palpatine to execute Order 66, claiming the Jedi as traitors to the Republic. After returning to Coruscant, Thorn finally had the chance to realize that the entirety of the Coruscant GuardвЂ™s Diplomatic Escort Corps Jedi loyal clones were killed on Scipio. Thorn managed to regroup with the troopers of the 501st and 101st, and retook his place as PadmГ©вЂ™s clone escort back to Coruscant. Thorn, in spite of the Separatist blockade, managed to get an SOS transmission back to the Republic, in which the 501st and 101st fleets and legions responded to. He was barely able to survive, as he fired a grappling hook at the edge of the landing platform, and repelled to the ground below, while yelling out: вЂњFor the Republic!вЂќ. Thorn managed to get most of his men out of their ship in time before it exploded, but he was unable to get them to safety as they were gunned down by the overwhelming droids. On one such mission, he and a contingent of his troops in the DEC escorted PadmГ© to Scipio, all of whom were secretly loyal to the Jedi, where he and his men would eventually come under attack from the Separatist Droid Army invading the planet.

Often Thorn escorted senators like PadmГ© Amidala, Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, Riyo Chuchi, or any senator or representative that were friendly and supportive of the Jedi on their respective diplomatic missions, but for the most part he would escort PadmГ©. Of course, being secretly loyal to Amidala and the Jedi, Thorn also had a second task of seeking out any clones in the DEC that were loyal to the Jedi and the Republic, and bring them into the JediвЂ™s favor. Whenever he did this, Thorn made sure that he and his men were on their toes, and always made sure that whomever he was assigned to protect made it to their destination, and back to Coruscant safely. Thorn took his job as commander of the Diplomatic Escort Corps seriously, commonly participating in the missions, and going with his men, as they performed their duties of protecting the senators and representatives who were given specific tasks to do. Thorn was assigned to the Diplomatic Escort Corps, a division of Coruscant Guard troops whose missions were to protect Republic senators and/or representatives on certain diplomatic missions, such as negotiations, and such.ДЄs ThornвЂ™s career in the Coruscant Guard continued, he came to favor the Z-6 Rotary Turret as his primary weapon, even going as far as to name his personal Z-6 Hammer. Thorn was one of at least three sub-commanders that was trusted by Fox, alongside Commander Thire and Stone, to know the truth of PadmГ©, and swore loyalty to her, the Jedi Order, and the Republic. Thorn was one of several sub-commanders within the Coruscant Guard, under the public command of Clone Commander Fox, seemingly through the orders of Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, but in truth the secret command of PadmГ© Amidala, a secret Jedi Knight embedded within the Republic Senate.
